A group of vloggers apologized to the public after their gasoline station prank went wrong.
According to the report, the vloggers, identified as Jonel Cordero and Arnold Rabi of channel ‘Cordero Brothers’ visited a gasoline station in Barangay. Neuva Visayas, Mawab, Davao de Oro on January 18, 2023.
The vloggers introduced themselves as customers and bought P10 worth of gasoline then acted as if they consumed it in front of the station staff.
After drinking it, they pretended to show the effects of gasoline poisoning so the staff rushed to call the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Mawab.
However, when the authorities came to help, Cordero Brothers suddenly announced that they were only pranking everyone.
While the vloggers thought that they could get away from wasting the time of the first respondents, they were wrong.
The first respondents then called the members of PNP Mawab to put the two under custody.
They’re currently facing charges for what they did.
“The prank pulled by [the vloggers] which was responded by the MDRRMO for instance could have caused unnecessary disruption should another incident had taken place that need to be responded,” Police Regional Office XI said in its statement.
In a video posted to the public, the vloggers made an apology to the public saying that they didn’t mean to give inconvenience to the emergency personnel.
“Sorry jud kaayu sa inyong tanan. unta dli NMU mag cgeg comment nga mga negative..sorry,” the Cordero Brothers told the public.

Meanwhile, netizens urged the vloggers to change careers and stop inconveniencing the people who were meant to respond in case of emergency.
