Milkfish, the national fish of the Philippines became disrespected after two women threw it against each other during a noisy quarrel at a market.
On January 14, 2023, netizen Elmer Apostol recorded a squabble between two women in a market located in Tarlac.
It can be seen that several women argue against each other while throwing the said fish at each other.
One of the women was supposed to be the fish vendor, while the others were her customers.
The commotion started when one of the customers pushed all the milkfish to the vendor.
The vendor retaliated and grabbed one of her products and threw it at the said customer.
Another lady came to grab another fish to throw it at the vendor.
Fortunately, a security guard working at the said market restrained the two camps.
At the end of the video, concerned citizens returned the bangus to the vendor.
As of writing, it’s not yet known the reason why the two camps argued.
Netizens called the incident as ‘Flying Bangus Festival’ and it even captured the attention of the residents of Dagupan City, which is considered as the ‘Bangus Capital of the Philippines’.
However, some express concern about how the women wasted precious fish that costs 100-200 pesos per kilo.
