Comedian Marissa Sanchez defended Alex Gonzaga after Arnold Clavio criticized the actions of the latter’s treatment towards a waiter later identified as Allan Cristostomo.
On January 17, Clavio posted a lengthy reaction over the cake issue of Gonzaga saying that he was not happy with what the actress did especially since he also worked as a waiter before becoming a well-known journalist.
Arnold said.

Sanchez responded to Clavio’s criticisms saying that she knew the struggle being faced by Gonzaga right now because she was also a comedian.
According to her, comedians like her and Alex tend to make mistakes while making ways to be funny.

“Minsan talaga, ang komedyante no matter how funny you are, pwede ka pa rin magkamali sa isang iglap lang, before you know it, lalo na pag nadadala ka ng adrenalin or tinatawag na “Kasagsagan ng nangyayari” lahat naman nagkakamali. Kahit pa hindi komedyante?” Sanchez stated.
“I can only judge her motive. At kitang kita naman sa video that she was just plainly making pipol laugh, yun nga lang at the expense of the staff. That would really be so amazingly funny.
Sanchez also explained that it’s hard for comedians like Alex to make people laugh.
“Obviously you cannot please everyone. Bakit? Akala n’yo ba madali magpatawa? Hindi po.” she said.
Clavio didn’t respond to Sanchez’s comment to him.
