Ogie Diaz expressed disappointment after the movie ‘Family Matters’ where his fellow Kakampink Agot Isidro was cast.
In the latest episode of his online showbiz program, Diaz said that Family Matters can be considered a great film that deserved to win Best Picture.
However, the said movie only took one award and was only nominated for ‘Best Original Theme Song, Best Musical Score, Gender Sensitivity Award, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Actor.
The Best Picture award was won by Nadine Lustre’s movie, Deleter, and the second Best Picture has been received by Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told.
Even Isidro couldn’t hide her disappointment because of the MMFF’s decision for their movie.
Isidro said.
Because of what happened, Diaz was suspecting that Family Matters became a victim of politicking during the awards night.
According to him, some politicians were involved in the MMFF awards’ decision-making.
Dyusko, dapat ‘yan nag-Best Picture,” said Diaz.
According to some reports, Family Matters already earned a total of P32-M.
Family Matters also received positive reviews from moviegoers, saying that it’s very ‘relatable’ and the cast showed excellent acting skills.
