Former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson proved that his one of the best godfathers in his province.
In a reel posted by Singson’s social media team, the veteran politician who’s also a successful businessman gave away money during a wedding he attended on December 28.
Singson can be seen putting 500 and 1000 peso bills on the wedding dress of the bride during her prosperity dance with the groom.
Prosperity dance, also known as money dance is a practice after the wedding to usher financial abundance in a couple’s marriage and a way for guests to give the newlyweds good luck.
Singson was also spotted not only giving away money to the couple, but also to the visitors of the wedding.
The former governor made the event more memorable after he gave away P500 to every guest of the wedding.
Singson was the one who approached the guests while they were eating, showing that the former governor was not hesitating to give away money.
Singson has gone viral on social media several times because of his generosity.
Last June, the former governor also gave away P1-M pesos and pairs of shoes during his birthday.
Some netizens couldn’t hide their amazement at how generous Singson was.
“Gov.Chavit Singson lang SAKALAM.kaya pinag papala pa lalo kasi mabuting tao at palagi tumutulong sa mahihirap,” netizen Bogues Elmido said.
