Cristy Fermin was wondering why Toni Gonzaga’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry ‘My Teacher’ was not getting enough sales despite having millions of fans on social media.
It can be remembered that rumors were circulating on social media that the movie led by Toni and veteran comedian Joey de Leon has now been removed from some theaters because of its low sales.
Cristy in her program then called the followers of Toni to support their idol whom they called ‘the most powerful actress’ today.
“Bakit daw walang nangyari? Bakit hindi nag-translate sa takilya?”
However, the columnist shared that fans of Toni may still be busy because of Christmas.
According to some reports, My Teacher only earned P3-M during its first day while other movies already earned P30-M pesos.
The people behind the movie has yet to give a statement to confirm if the rumors were true about My Teacher.
Toni received criticisms before for her choice of candidate last presidential election.
