A story of a student has gone viral on social media after her mother narrated how her classmate returned the gift she prepared for their recent Christmas party.
In a Facebook post last December 16, Christine Ursua Francisco shared her disappointment on social media after her daughter Criza Maine told her that her classmate returned her gift because they didn’t like it.
Francisco said that her daughter was emotionally affected by the incident and almost lost her confidence to meet other people.
“Nakita ko ‘yung sadness sa mukha niya. Para di magpatuloy ‘yung lungkot, I told her na ‘It’s okay baby just sit there I will just finish this then [we] will go home bibilhan kita ng ibang gift. Habang pauwi kami she said ‘Ma ayaw nila sa gift ko?” para akong dinurog,” Francisco said.
However, because of the help and encouragement from other netizens, it seems that Criza Maine was recovering already.
A netizen even sent a gift for Criza Maine to give her some happiness this upcoming Christmas.
“Ganda ng ngiti nyarn first time magkaroon ng ganitong laruan..unti unti baby makakalimutan mo n dn lahat sbi ko sayo pag good girl maraming blessings..thanks po mam Jolisa Fariñas really appreciated..di na yta matutulog to..” she said.
The school where Criza Maine was studying has yet to give any comment on the said issue.
Meanwhile, netizens were still disappointed that some students becoming picky with the gift they were receiving, saying that Christmas is not about material things but to remember the birth of Jesus Christ.
