Netizens are still mourning after singer Jovit Baldivino passed away at the age of 29 because of an aneurysm.

Before his passing, Jovit became a headline because of his custody battle with his daughter Akeya to his former partner Shara Chavez.

Jovit publicly announced in 2021 that he wanted to see his daughter and accused Shara of hiding their child.

According to him, he wanted to get custody of his child after several investors accused Shara of luring them into a ‘bogus’ investment scheme.

“Ang sa akin lang po eh ‘yung makuha ko ang anak ko sa kanya at ilayo sa masama, kasi matagal na niya itinatago sa akin syempre bilang isang ama may karapatan din naman ako sa anak ko, yung pamilya ko nga nalulungkot pag hindi nakita ang pamangkin at apo, eh ano pa naman ang isang ama, na lagi na lang nagaalala at nagtatanong kung malaki na ba, madaldal na ba, kumakanta rin ba o ano etc.” Jovit said in his post.

Shara refused the request of Jovit, accusing the singer of not supporting their child financially.

Jovit denied it saying that he’s making efforts to support his child.

Last July, Jovit made a message to his daughter during her birthday saying he really wanted to see her.

He also showed the gifts that he wanted to give to his daughter.

“Happy Birthday Anak. My Akeya. Sana makasama ka nang Daddy miss na miss kana namin lahat.. Lola/Lolo/Tita and tito. kahit saglit lang. Iloveyou. i have a lot of special things or gift to you my daughter. i want and i hope to see you Later my princess. Iloveyou..” Jovit wrote.

As of writing, Shara didn’t give any statement on what happened to her former partner and if she would allow her daughter to see her father for the last time.
