Itinaas ng Jose Rizal University (JRU) ang kanilang parusa para sa estudyante nila na si John Amores isang linggo matapos itong manugod ng mga miyembro ng kalaban nilang team.

Nitong Nobyembre 15, 2022, kinumpirma ng JRU na hindi na miyembro ng basketball team si Amores at hindi muna ito makakapasok sa kanyang klase.

Maliban pa rito ay kinakailangan din na dumaan sa community service si Amores.

“He will no longer be part of any sports program of JRU, effective immediately. Contingent with this action: all privileges accruing to Mr. Amores as a student-athlete have been canceled; and based on the student manual of the university, he has been further meted out the penalty of suspension from his classes and has been required to undergo community service,” sabi ng unibersidad.

Sa ngayon ay dadaan muna sa counseling si Amores upang malaman kung mababago pa ba nito ang kanyang pag-uugali at kung kaya pa niyang makontrol ang kanyang emosyon.

“The University is furthermore working with its Athletics Office, the coaching staff, and the members of the team to ensure their developmental needs to migtate and prevent similar incidents from taking place in the future,” sabi pa nila.

Hanggang sa ngayon ay wala paring inilalabas na kahit anong pahayag si Amores o paghingi ng tawad.
