Senator Christopher “Bong” Go couldn’t stop himself from expressing his disappointment over the action of Jose Rizal University (JRU) basketball player John Amores.

In the middle of the senate session, Go slammed Amores action who became infamous after harming some players of the College of Saint Benilde on November 8.

It seems that Go is also trying to become the next former President Rodrigo Duterte who’s known for his tough words.

“Bilang isang basketball player at isang mamamayang Pilipino, eto po ang sagot ko, dapat bugbugin din rin ‘yung John Amores na ‘yon, t*ng*n*,” Go said.

Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri then intervened and told Go that what he said should be removed from the official records.

“We cannot use that language in the senate,” Zubiri said.

Go explained that he’s only expressing his feelings especially since he’s the head of the senate committee on sports.

“We promote sportsmanship, fan po ako ng basketball kaya nalulungkot po ako sa nangyari,” he stated.

He also insisted that the behavior of Amores has no place in professional basketball.

Aside from Go, Sen. JV Ejercito already criticized the actions of the said basketball player and wanted the athlete to be banned for life in the court.

As of writing, Amores has yet to release any statement about what he did.

It can be remembered that Amores was already facing charges after an incident with a University of the Philippines player.

The JRU player is also facing two additional charges filed by two members of CSB.
